Belinda Gadd nominated for 2017 UTS Alumni Awards

Principal Consultant of Commercial Media and University of Technology Sydney former graduate Belinda Gadd has today been nominated for a 2017 UTS Alumni Award.

“These awards celebrate and recognise UTS’s most inspiring graduates – of which you are one,” read the email announcement.

“Your nomination is among a diverse and impressive field of alumni from around the globe who are making a significant contribution to their professions and helping to change the world.”

Belinda Gadd completed postgraduate studies in Journalism at UTS Sydney and is pleased to have been nominated for this prestigious Award.

“I am passionate about using my writing skills and legal/business background to help businesses big and small develop strategic communications plans and content. This enables them to connect with customers, colleagues and broader community – leading to profitable business,” Mrs Gadd said.

“I have developed content for businesses in Australia, UK, US, Singapore, Hong Kong, Canada and more. I have written for various audiences and demographics and am committed to helping my clients achieve their strategic goals.”

According to Belinda Gadd, communications is a specialised form of writing.

“It takes empathy, the ability to seize opportunities, address challenges, anticipate risks, and build trusted connections between an organisation and its intended audience,” she said.

“What’s more, quality communications require a deep understanding of the target audience, selecting the best channels and methods of delivery, and the creation of a holistic and effective communication approach in today’s digital world.

“I feel very privileged to do what I do and am honoured to receive a nomination for these awards,” Mrs Gadd said.

*Successful nominees will be informed in July and winners will be officially announced at a gala dinner and ceremony on 21 September 2017.
